Nashville | Visiting Nashville? This Is One Place You Don't Want To Miss...

Nashville, Tennessee, is one of the top tourist destinations in the country, and for a good reason. While we may be known for our Honky Tonks and Hot Chicken, Music City has so much more to offer.

Take from a Nashville native.

From culinary adventures to outdoorsy exploration ( And no, I am not talking about wandering up and down Broadway) and our world-renowned music scene, Nashville really does have it all.

Two Brunches You Can't Miss In London

If you’re anything like me, there’s nothing better than starting your weekend off right with an epic brunch. After all, no weekend morning is complete without it. Brunch is no longer just a meal, but it’s become a social ritual that allows you to get your favorite breakfast foods after noon and makes that morning cocktail just a bit more acceptable.

Weekend Wandering: Chattanooga, Tennessee

Despite the fact that many international borders are closed and flight restrictions are abundant, I’ve been trying to keep travel and exploration alive during COVID-19 quarantine. I’ve looked at photos from my past adventures (honestly, I never realized just how many photos I took), cooked ethnic recipes from around the globe, and watched just about every food documentary housed on Netflix. While all these are great ways to pass the time, it doesn’t satiate my appetite for travel. Travel allows us to broaden our perspective and shapes our minds in ways we didn’t even know were possible and I am missing that more than ever right now.

Bites and Barbecue in Austin

Making the list for travel in 2018 was Austin, Texas. This wasn’t my first trip to Texas. My college roommate was from Houston and I have visited Dallas and San Antonio with work. However, many of you may be scratching your heads and wondering why in the world would Austin make it on the list over so many other cities, especially since I live in Nashville.

But First, Brunch At Nicky's Coal Fired

Maybe you caught my StyleBlueprint Nashville take over or you’ve seen my recent Instagram stories, but it’s no secret, Nicky’s Coal Fired is by far one of my Nashville favorites. From their delicious housemade pasta to their craft cocktails and crispy coal-fired pizza, I’ll gladly order one of everything on the menu. When I heard the news of bomboloni, breakfast pizzas, and mimosa kits, I knew where I’d be on Sunday morning!

Brunch Is In Session At The Old School

As much as I love to travel and explore new things, I can sometimes become a creature of habit. I tend to revisit my favorite local restaurants and cocktail bars that I know won't disappoint. Imagine my reaction when one of my dearest friends wanted to brunch "outside the city" in Scottsboro, Tennessee.

Break Out The Control Top Lederhosen: Von Brunch At Von Elrod's

One of the biggest complaints I hear about the Nashville food scene is the lack of diversity. Let's face it, there isn't a shortage of fried chicken, biscuits and burgers. However, it wasn't until recently that you could find some solid German food in Music City.

Gray & Dudley At The 21c Hotel

As I welcomed 2018, I made a promise to myself to do a better job of being a tourist in my own city. In recent years, Nashville has made its way on to several " best of" lists making it more desirable than ever to live here. While I may have some choice words for our "new" Nashville residents during my commute, the growth has been incredible for the city. From major league sports teams, corporate headquarters and an overall boom in the hospitality industry, Nashville has quickly become the "IT" city, making it hard for this native to keep up.

But first, Brunch: Band of Bohemia

When one of your favorite chefs gives you a restaurant recommendation, you not only make a quick note, but you also make reservations, ASAP.

Enjoying yet another amazing dinner at Bastion (last seen here) I started chatting with Chef Josh Habiger about upcoming travel. Well aware of the fact that he is incredibly knowledgeable about the food scene in Chicago (he did after all, work spend some time at Alinea) I thought it would be worth picking his brain for any new up and coming restaurants.

NYC Nosh: Modern Mexican @Cosme

Wandering around New York City will certainly work up an appetite. For someone who relishes Mexican cuisine as much as I do, I would have been remiss not to visit Cosme.  Located in the Flatiron district, Cosme is the brainchild of world renown chef Enrique Olvera who is also the creative mastermind behind Pujol, located in Mexico, and Atla, located in New York City.
