It has been a WEEK. The kind of week that makes you question every life choice ( and often ask yourself- are these people delusional, or is it me?), check the weather app with increasing resentment, and decide that leaving the house is simply not worth the heat. Add Nashville in August temperatures to the mix, and my motivation to do anything remotely productive or put on real clothes or go anywhere has officially evaporated.
Fortunately, there’s a silver lining to being trapped indoors during a heat wave: there’s PLENTY of time to drink wine.
At this point, I’m embracing the only sensible summer strategy: crank up the air conditioning, find something good to eat, and open a bottle of wine. Preferably followed by another bottle. And frankly, I can think of worse ways to spend a weekend.
Consider this wine review a public service announcement. Let’s get into the details as we enjoy 2025 Corvelia Sauvignon Blanc.
Tasting Notes:
Pale straw hue with a soft golden yellow cast
Dry and crisp with citrus-driven acidity- imagine lemon, apple, and notes of peach
Faint minerality present
Clean, refreshing finish
Verdict:
Friends, this is yet another lovely bottle from Trader Joe’s. It’s fresh, fruit-forward, easy-drinking Sauvignon Blanc. Obviously, this is a bottle that can stand alone and would be quite enjoyable while cooking, but it would also pair nicely with a hearty salad or grilled fish (in fact, I am still dreaming of the fish I had last weekend in Mexico City! YUM!). Grab this bottle while you can- well worth the price point!
Until Next Time!
