Finding the Sweet Spot in Chicago
Those of you who know me realize that I have quite a fondness for Chicago. Arctic freezing temperatures, inches of snow and canceled flights can't stop this girl, and yes I realize that is just December- April.
Mexico City takes its cocktails about as seriously as it takes its street food, and that’s saying something. The bar scene here is magnetic, mixing world-class creativity with everyday charm. You’ll find bartenders whipping up mezcal and tequila creations with everything from prickly pear to cacao. Not to mention, these creative masterminds behind the bar make it look absolutely effortless.
Mexico City is a destination that could easily fill weeks of exploring. Take it from me, it's my second time visiting, and my list of places to visit is now longer than when I initially departed for my trip.
Mexico City is one of those places where deciding where you want to eat turns into a full-blown existential crisis. How does one choose between following the hypnotic swirl of al pastor on a spit or the sizzle of a street-side quesadilla? Or should you surrender to the elegance of one of the many fine dining spots where chefs are transforming local ingredients into works of art?
