Nashville | Brunch And Bottomless Mimosas At STK Steakhouse

Since Arnold’s Country Kitchen closed earlier this year, I’ve been at a loss for where to eat. Knowing the number of restaurants in Nashville, that may seem ridiculous to many of you, but Arnold’s was my ride-or-die. I’d go there for a cocktail and grab a quick dinner. Still, most importantly, I’d find myself there on many Saturdays praying that the Nashville bachelorettes and downtown tourists had not depleted the 7-Up Pancake supply.

When the weekends roll around, I find myself reacquainting myself with many Nashville haunts, plowing my way through mimosas, biscuits, and pancakes. After all, not all brunches are created equal, especially in Nashville.

Most recently, I was invited to STK Steakhouse to sample their brunch options. Even though pancakes were absent from the brunch menu, I was admittedly impressed.

First things first, let’s talk logistics. STK Steakhouse is located on the first floor of the Terrazzo building in the Gulch. Yes, that area can be QUITE overwhelming since every party barge and bachelorette party takes over that area on the weekend, but never fear. Restaurant patrons can easily park in the garage at the Terrazzo or across the street. If you are looking for a brunch with a vibe, STK is the place. They have a DJ spinning throughout brunch, and the chance of hearing your favorite song is 100% possible.

So let’s jump into the delicious details, shall we? The kitchen started our brunch with Lil Brgs and the Blue Iceberg salad. While I only captured a video of the Lil Brgs, I can tell these are a must when visiting STK. They are juicy and delicious. ( Check out my reel for more info). If you are a blue cheese lover, the Blue Iceberg salad is for you. Not only was it crisp, but refreshing. STK takes a wedge of iceberg lettuce and tops it with Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Bacon, Point Reyes Blue Cheese, and Cherry Tomatoes. My partner in dine shared this; rest assured, it was more than enough to feed two people.

Next, the kitchen sent out the perfect combination of sweet and savory: Cinnamon French Toast and Truffle Steak and Egg. When it comes to breakfast sweets, I’m much more of a pancake girl over french toast. Maybe it’s the consistency or the fact that I can never master the toast to syrup ratio. Regardless, we devoured the Cinnamon French Toast. Not only was it the perfect consistency, but the fresh berries were a perfect addition. In true style, I had to ask for more syrup, but only because I was sharing.

Being the truffle enthusiast, I couldn’t wait to get my fork into the Truffle Steak and Egg. When the dish approached the table, the aromatics of the truffle hit me right in the face. The steak was smothered with this incredible truffle butter which paired perfectly with every bite. If you are a skinny fry girl like myself, you will thoroughly enjoy the crispy potatoes served with this dish. At this point in the meal, I was getting rather full, so I only had a few bites of the egg served in the brioche, which was delightful. The only negative of this dish was the fact that the server didn’t ask us how we wanted our steak prepared. I am one to order my steak medium rare, but this was more on the medium-well/well-done spectrum. Aside from that, it was an excellent dish. If you order this during your visit, make sure you specifically ask the server to cook it to your liking.

Our bottomless mimosas came to an end, signaling it was time for us to throw in the napkin and go home and nap. What a great meal. STK is definitely a place I will be adding to the brunch repertoire. Trust me; I’ve already heard the Cinnamon French Toast calling! If you check it out, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Drop it in the comments below.
