Love Is In The Air

Valentine’s Day will be here before you know it!

Whether you are “cuffed up” and Facebook official with your sweetie, celebrating with your favorite gal pals, or flying solo, February 14 is all about love. It’s a perfect time to let all of the incredible people in your life know how much you care about them.

Like many of you, one of my favorite school memories was making my Valentine's Day box and exchanging cards and conversation hearts with my classmates. I remember my mom and I ( well, really my mom) would spend so much time decorating my box and making sure it was just perfect.

And if that wasn’t enough, she’d pack an extra special Valentine’s Day lunch complete with a heart-shaped sandwich, stickers, and a sweet treat. To say she went all out is an understatement.

Even though I am older and I’ve traded conversation hearts for Casamigos, it’s still important to let those that I hold close to my heart know that they are loved. I’m very fortunate that I have some amazing friends, and over the years, we’ve done everything from Galentine’s happy hours, a rom-com movie marathon, and silly game nights.

Even though this year might look different in more ways than one, remember, February 14 is just another day to show the people in your life that you love them and to show yourself a little love too.
