Sowing Seeds of Flavor: Flower Child Grows Roots in Franklin
Franklin, get ready to glow from the inside out.
Flower Child is officially opening its doors this Tuesday, June24, and trust me, you'll be planning your next lunch date before you've even finished your appetizer.
If you're new to the name, Flower Child is a vibrant, fast-casual restaurant known for its feel-good, flavor-packed menu. It's the latest concept from Fox Restaurant Concepts, the same team behind favorites like Doughbird, The Henry, Blanco, and Pushing Daisies.
Here's how it works: Order at the counter, then settle into a bright, colorful space that radiates good vibes. Whether you're grabbing lunch with friends or need a quick, healthy bite on the go, Flower Child fits seamlessly into your day and your lifestyle.
Whether you're gluten-free, vegan, paleo, or just a lover of seasonal produce, Flower Child has something for you. Their menu is plant-forward, fully customizable, and refreshingly approachable without ever sacrificing flavor. It’s all about healthy food that you actually crave.
Signature dishes like the Mother Earth Bowl—with ancient grains, portobello mushrooms, avocado, and a spicy broccoli pesto, or the Glow Bowl with spicy sunflower butter sauce are basically edible sunshine. Pair your meal with a seasonal lemonade or their rotating kombucha, and you've got a lunch that feels like a spa day… without lifting a finger in the kitchen.
Admittedly, I’m always a little apprehensive when restaurants put a healthy spin on one of my most beloved indulgences, chips and queso. But I’ll be the first to say it: Flower Child proved me wrong. The Green Chile Queso was absolutely fantastic. The texture and consistency were spot-on, just like the classic queso you'd expect at any restaurant, and the chickpea chorizo completely fooled me. We devoured it the moment it hit the table. No notes.
While the Glow Bowl and Mother Earth Bowl tend to steal the spotlight, we decided to branch out and try the Chicken Enchiladas and the Turkey & Avocado Cobb, and both delivered. The enchiladas were packed with flavor, while the Cobb was crisp, refreshing, and generously portioned. It’s clear that no matter what you order, Flower Child doesn’t miss.
"Healthy" and "dessert" don't always go hand in hand, but don't sleep on the Chocolate Pudding. It was, without question, the star of the dessert lineup. Rich, silky, and just sweet enough, I'm still thinking about it. Yes, it's that good.
Franklin, if you're all about fresh flavors and feel-good vibes, you'll want to be among the first through the doors when Flower Child opens. This is the kind of spot you'll come back to again and again.
